No More Shadows: A Pledge for Our Children

Little eyes so bright and new,

Hearts so pure, and spirits true.

Like tiny flowers, soft and small,

Trusting hands, ready for all.

A child is soft, with smiling face,

They trust the world, they laugh, they play.

They do not know of dark and fright,

Just sunny days and happy light.

Innocent hearts don’t understand,

How evil hands can hurt and plan.

A cruel shadow, hard to name,

Sets their tender souls aflame.

A trust broken, a smile undone,

Before their little lives have run.

A wound inflicted, deep inside,

Where pain and fear now try to hide.

Their happy dreams begin to fade,

By grown-up cruelties, sadly made.

We must stand tall, with hearts so clear,

To wipe away each child's tear.

Stop this crime, stand up and shout,

Let not one child live with doubt.

Their body is not yours to own,

Leave them, let them grow alone.

Zero tolerance, our firm stand,

Protecting every child in the land.

Strict punishment, quick and sure,

To keep our little ones secure.

Let law be strong, no more delay,

Let abusers face the fire, without a say.

Let every child be safe and free,

From this cruel evil, wild to see.

Let justice shine, and good remain,

To heal the hurt, and ease the pain.

We’ll guard them with care, and drive evil away,

Let children laugh, let childhood stay.
